In December 2017, we escaped the cold weather in Europe to spend Christmas on a beach more than 8000 kilometers away. This is our itinerary:

Day 3 – Polonaruwa – Kaudulla National Parc
Day 4 – Dambulla – Kandy
Day 5 – Kandy – Nuwara Eliya
Day 6 – Nuwara Eliya – Ella
Day 7 – Ella – Lipton’s seat
Day 8 – Ella – Yala National Parc
Day 9 – Mirissa
Day 10 – Whale Watch in Mirissa – Galle
Day 11 – Galle – Colombo – Flight to Maldives
Day 12 – Malé

Hi Cinzia! Indeed, we hired a driver on http://rentacarsrilanka.info/. With only 10 days in Sri Lanka we did not really have a choice. Our driver was super helpful by helping us to organise our itinerairy and bookings. We will soon publish more details on our trip.
