Itinerary: 3 weeks backpacking in Malaysia

In Summer 2017, we travelled 3,5 weeks by public transport through Malaysia and Singapore.

As this was not my first time in Malaysia, the aim was to see the real country by taking our time and avoiding the typical tourist destinations. We therefore focussed our itinerary on the center and the East coast of the country:

Day 1: Kuala Lumpur

Day 2: Kuala Lumpur

Day 3: Malakka

Day 4: Malakka – National Park Taman Negara

Day 5: Jungle Experience with night in a cave

Day 6: Jungle Experience second day

Day 7: National Park to Cameron Highlands

Day 8: Cameron Highlands

Day 9: Cameron Highlands – Pulau Besar

Day 10: Pulau Besar Snorkelling Experience

Day 11: Pulau Besar Snorkelling Experience II

Day 12: Pulau Besar – Kuala Terrenganu

Day 13: Kuala Terrenganu – Pulau Kapas

Day 14: Pulau Kapas

Day 15: Pulau Kapas

Day 16: Pulau Kapas – Kuantan

Day 17: Kuantan

Day 18: Lake Chini

Day 19: Kuantan – Mersing

Day 20: Mersing – Singapore

Day 21: Singapore – Discovering Singapore: 10 Must-See Attractions for an Unforgettable Experience

Day 22: Singapore

Day 23: Singapore and Flight back home
