Lake Titicaca: How to best visit the peruvian side

The famous Lake Titicaca is the biggest lake in South America, the highest navigable lake in the world. Indeed, its altitude of 3800m is quite breathtaking and not just becuse of its beautiful landscape. Part of the lake is located in Peru whether the other part belongs to Bolivia. 2 weeks Peru and Bolivia itinerary

Another trip, another continent. This time, we discovered South America for the first time and we were not disappointed. During our two week trip, we saw so many different landscapes: from colonial cities to beautiful mountain and volcano chains. It was not always easy as we had to fight against altitude sickness and cold nights but we were soon compensated by breathtaking landscapes, a special fauna with llamas and alpacas as well as unique places such as Machu Picchu and the Uyuni Salt Desert. Interesting in such a trip? This is our 2 week itinerary with the best of Peru and Bolivia.

Mandø island Denmark: alone in nature

If you love nature, an excursion to Mandø island, a small island of 8 km2 with only 40 inhabitants in the middle of the Wadden sea, is a must-do in Denmark. The small access road which gets flooded twice per day makes this day trip an unforgettable experience.

A day-trip to Calakmul: Mayan Ruins in the Jungle

Calakmul is a very old Maya site and UNESCO World Heritage in the State of Campeche in Mexico. Its first dated inscription is from as early as 431 AD. At the time, Calakmul was one of the most important sites in the region. Between 500 and 800 AD over 50.000 people lived here. Its particularity is its situation in the middle of the Jungle, 60 kilometers from the next highway and, thus, not that easily accessible. However, these beautiful Mayan ruins are definitely worth the detour.

10 Must-sees in Singapore

When travelling through Malaysia, we spent a couple of days in Singapore, the city of the Lion. This small and still very young city-state charmed us with its diversity, its modern buildings and of course its cleanliness. These are our 10 must-sees:

Compiègne: A walk through the imperial city

Compiègne, not even 90 kilometers north-east from Paris, is a great place to discover a typical french city far away from the usual beaten tracks. It is also a city with a rich history because Louis XV as well as Napoleon I and Napoleon III came here for leisure and hunting. In the famous forest of Compiègne, the Armistice of the first World War was signed in 1918.

Itinerary: 3,5 weeks back-packing in Bangkok and Cambodia

In Summer 2016, we had 3,5 weeks holidays ahead of us. We wanted to discover Cambodia but as flights were quite expensive we decided to book flights to Bangkok, stayed a couple of days in the city before taking an Air Asia flight to Siem Reap. Most of the time, we travelled by public transport and tuk tuk and, as you know, this takes much longer than having private transport arranged. But when we have time and want to discover a country, we still like this way to travel.

Malé – The real face of the Maldives

Most people, when traveling to the Maldives, directly go to one of these Resort Islands right away from the airport. And yes, these islands are just beautiful but don't forget that there is more to this country than empty white beaches, crystal-clear water and palm trees. People actually live there and almost one third of the 430.000 inhabitants live in Malé, the capital and main island of the country.

Why to chose Malta for a long weekend trip

Why not discover Malta, the Mediterranean Paradise.

Campervan experience in Slovenia

With no major experience in camping, we suddenly got this idea of travelling in a camper van to enjoy the freedom of stopping whenever and wherever. We therefore decided to just give it a try by renting a campervan for one week in August 2018. Our main destination: Slovenia.

The carnival of La Louvière in the french-speaking part of Belgium is a traditional event which takes place at the mid-term of the Fasting Period. Celebrations revolve around one symbolic figure: the Gilles.
