Switzerland is famous for its most beautiful mountain panorama and being able to spend the night in a campervan watching this beautiful scenery make the country a great campervan destination. This is our 1O days experience in the German-speaking part of the country.
Instagram and its #vanlife is promising lots of amazing campervan spots, one more beautiful than the other and surrounded by untouched nature. But when you start travelling in a van, you quickly notice that it is not always easy to find these great spots, especially when visiting touristic areas or when travelling during the school holidays. And while there is no miraculous solution, we wanted to list some ways to find the most scenic campervan spots for an unforgettable trip.
The Eiffel Tower is the most famous tourist attraction in Paris and its silhouette became the symbol of the city over time. But while we all want to avoid mass tourism, some places just have to be visited anyway. The Eiffel Tower is one of those places so come with us to discover Paris from its top.
We visited Switzerland, this beautiful country famous for its breathtaking mountain panorama. This is our 12 days campervan itinerary:
Hiking is one of the main summer activities in Switzerland and the beautiful mountain panorama is always worth the detour. But this time, we wanted to see more than that and decided to visit the Aletsch Arena in the Bernese Alps to hike along the famous Aletsch Glacier, the greatest (and probably most accessible) glacier of the Alps.
When thinking about Sweden, most people probably think of the lakes with its red cabins, wide landscapes and... well... reindeers. While we did see lots of lakes and even more red cabins on our road trip in southern Sweden, we somehow missed the northern wilderness and its special fauna. This is why, we decided to go North and experience another Sweden, a much more lonely Sweden with unpaved roads, an uninhabited landscape as far as the eye can see and, of course, reindeers, these beautiful animals from the North.
During a trip to Stockholm, discovering the Archipelago is a must-do to for every traveller. There are boats going to several islands around Stockholm. Brussels, this is the city we live in. The capital of Belgium in the heart of Europe is often forgotten by many travellers. We often have friends and families coming to visit for a week-end and we started to have our favourite tour ready for those who want to visit Brussels in one day. So come with us to discover our must-sees.
We do love to travel in a camper van and I must say that Denmark was a perfect destination for that. In only a bit more than one week we were able to discover a big part of the country. This is our itinerary:
As you know, we aren't full-time travellers and we actually like our day jobs quite a lot. This is why, week-end trips are our elixir of life. However, taking the plane over and over again starts to weigh on our conscience, especially when we have another option. This is why, we made a small overview of all these beautiful destinations to reach from Brussels by train.
We all know the Great Imperial Rome from movies, history lessons and other stories. It often feels like a fictional place which seems familiar and yet so far away. When visiting Rome for the first time, traveling back in time and seeing this place come to life is an unforgettable experience. And as we are often short on time, we want to see the most of it in only half a day.
Tenerife is so much more than an all-inclusive tourist destination. It is home to Spain's highest mountain with its unique National Park, it offers beautiful black beaches, breathtaking sea views and an extraordinary culinary experience.
As you know, we aren't full-time travellers and we actually like our day jobs quite a lot. This is why, week-end trips are our elixir of life. Sometimes you just need to open your eyes and see what is around you. Normandy, and more specifically Deauville, is a typical week-end destination for Parisians but also from Brussels it is only 3,5 hours by car. You are looking for beautiful white beaches, historic places and authentic villages? Then this is your place to go.
When travelling, I love spending time in Cafés at the most beautiful places and just enjoy the moment. However, it is not always easy to order your favourite coffee because every country has its own coffee specialties and many local places don't always have a menu. This is what you need to know to order your coffee like a pro on the Canary islands.
