Bouillon, this picturesque village in the belgian Ardennes, is a main tourist attraction in the area. It is famous for its beautiful and majestic castle overlooking the river. When spending a day in Bouillon, you can visit the famous castle, walk through its small alleys, enjoy the river promenade of the Semois river and follow Godfrey of Bouillon all the way to Jerusalem.
Instagram and its #vanlife is promising lots of amazing campervan spots, one more beautiful than the other and surrounded by untouched nature. But when you start travelling in a van, you quickly notice that it is not always easy to find these great spots, especially when visiting touristic areas or when travelling during the school holidays. And while there is no miraculous solution, we wanted to list some ways to find the most scenic campervan spots for an unforgettable trip.
We finally did it. After some great camper van rentals and some years of reflection, we finally bought our own camper van. And we didn't do things by half-measures as we bought a Hymer B614 CL from 2009. We had watched the camper van market for years and did see 2nd hand prices go up … Continue reading Van Tour – This is our new campervan
We visited Switzerland, this beautiful country famous for its breathtaking mountain panorama. This is our 12 days campervan itinerary:
Hiking is one of the main summer activities in Switzerland and the beautiful mountain panorama is always worth the detour. But this time, we wanted to see more than that and decided to visit the Aletsch Arena in the Bernese Alps to hike along the famous Aletsch Glacier, the greatest (and probably most accessible) glacier of the Alps.
When thinking about Sweden, most people probably think of the lakes with its red cabins, wide landscapes and... well... reindeers. While we did see lots of lakes and even more red cabins on our road trip in southern Sweden, we somehow missed the northern wilderness and its special fauna. If you want to discover this beautiful spot at the end of the word, the best way to visit the famous Pointe du Raz is by hiking.
We do love to travel in a camper van and I must say that Denmark was a perfect destination for that. In only a bit more than one week we were able to discover a big part of the country. This is our itinerary:
After our last year's camper van experience in Slovenia, we just had to have another camper van travel. This time, we chose the low season and a much camper van friendlier destination. So instead of going South, we headed North, to Denmark. This is the full story.
With no major experience in camping, we suddenly got this idea of travelling in a camper van to enjoy the freedom of stopping whenever and wherever. We therefore decided to just give it a try by renting a campervan for one week in August 2018. Our main destination: Slovenia.
