The Lesse Valley in the belgian Ardenne is famous for its beautiful nature, its outdoor activities and its castles. The Valley is the gateway to Belgian’s mountain region called Ardenne and due to its situation close to many cities, it is the perfect destination for a week-end outing.

Wandern ist eine der typischen Sommeraktivitäten in der Schweiz und das atemberaubende Bergpanorama lädt Reisende zu unvergesslichen Erlebnissen ein. In summer, the water flows at a rate of 600,000 litres per second and boats take you right on the bottom of this amazing natural site which was formed in the last ice age, more than 15,000 years ago.

But when you start travelling in a van, you quickly notice that it is not always easy to find these great spots, especially when visiting touristic areas or when travelling during the school holidays. Hiking is one of the main summer activities in Switzerland and the beautiful mountain panorama is always worth the detour. But this time, we wanted to see more than that and decided to visit the Aletsch Arena in the Bernese Alps to hike along the famous Aletsch Glacier, the greatest (and probably most accessible) glacier of the Alps.

When thinking about Sweden, most people probably think of the lakes with its red cabins, wide landscapes and... well... reindeers. While we did see lots of lakes and even more red cabins on our road trip in southern Sweden, we somehow missed the northern wilderness and its special fauna.
