Van Tour – This is our new campervan
We finally did it. After some great camper van rentals and some years of reflection, we finally bought our own camper van. And we didn't do things by half-measures as we bought a Hymer B614 CL from 2009. We had watched the camper van market for years and did see 2nd hand prices go up … Continue reading Van Tour – This is our new campervan
Itinerary – 10 days Switzerland road trip in a campervan
We visited Switzerland, this beautiful country famous for its breathtaking mountain panorama. This is our 12 days campervan itinerary:
Itinerary: 3 weeks camper van experience in Southern Sweden
The first trip after buying our camper van was going to Sweden, one of the best camper van destinations in Europe where wild camping is not a problem. This is the itinerary of our three weeks road trip in this Northern European country with its more than 100.000 lakes.
Aletsch Glacier panorama trail: Hiking along the greatest glacier of the Alps
Hiking is one of the main summer activities in Switzerland and the beautiful mountain panorama is always worth the detour. But this time, we wanted to see more than that and decided to visit the Aletsch Arena in the Bernese Alps to hike along the famous Aletsch Glacier, the greatest (and probably most accessible) glacier of the Alps.
Reindeer watching in Sweden: 4 days camper van road trip into the wild
When thinking about Sweden, most people probably think of the lakes with its red cabins, wide landscapes and... well... reindeers. While we did see lots of lakes and even more red cabins on our road trip in southern Sweden, we somehow missed the northern wilderness and its special fauna. This is why, we decided to go North and experience another Sweden, a much more lonely Sweden with unpaved roads, an uninhabited landscape as far as the eye can see and, of course, reindeers, these beautiful animals from the North.
Winter in Brittany: 5 epic days of vanlife in Finistère
Brittany, or Bretagne as the French call it, is the most Western Region of France. Pointe du Raz: Hiking at the End of the World
The Pointe du Raz is almost but not quite the westernmost point of France but its huge waves hitting the beautiful high cliffs, its strong wind and its old light tower, named the "Little Old Lady" make this place a popular spot for tourists and locals. If you want to discover this beautiful spot at the end of the word, the best way to visit the famous Pointe du Raz is by hiking.
Itinerary: 10 Days campervan experience in Slovenia
This was our first camper van experience. We had decided quite last notice to take a week off during summer and rent a camper van to go to Slovenia. We had not planned the full itinerary before leaving but this is the result of our 10 days trip to Slovenia:
Itinerary: 10 days vanilfe in Denmark
We do love to travel in a camper van and I must say that Denmark was a perfect destination for that. In only a bit more than one week we were able to discover a big part of the country. This is our itinerary:
10 days Denmark campervan experience
After our last year's camper van experience in Slovenia, we just had to have another camper van travel. This time, we chose the low season and a much camper van friendlier destination. So instead of going South, we headed North, to Denmark. This is the full story.
Visit Mandø island Denmark: alone in nature
If you love nature, an excursion to Mandø island, a small island of 8 km2 with only 40 inhabitants in the middle of the Wadden sea, is a must-do in Denmark. The small access road which gets flooded twice per day makes this day trip an unforgettable experience.
10 Days Campervan experience in Slovenia
With no major experience in camping, we suddenly got this idea of travelling in a camper van to enjoy the freedom of stopping whenever and wherever. We therefore decided to just give it a try by renting a campervan for one week in August 2018. Our main destination: Slovenia.
